The diverse range of products includes, HV and LV Motors, Variable Speed Drives & associated supporting equipment.
We are looking for a sales and technical professional to capitalise on recent growth by identifying new prospects with short to medium term objective in converting them into revenue by providing a product and service capability which has set industry standards.
This role will also work with existing customers and maintain important relationships with the key decision makers in mining / petro-chemical and prominent engineering consultancies.
The position requires a technical background in similar products and experience tailoring products to meet customer requirements. It would be expected that you will be confident in communicating with key decision makers at all levels with strong negotiation and customer management skills and a proven track record of winning new sales.
Responsibilities will include
* Identify and develop market strategies for the current product range, emerging technologies and product enhancements.
* Drive product sales for LV, MV, VSD and Motors for new and existing customers.
* Target new opportunities, prepare formal tenders and quotations while working with in-house product groups.
* Maintain and support the existing client base.
* Develop a strong working relationship with all the internal support teams, product managers and executive.
* Report on current and projected market activity.
* Travel as required to visit customer sites and to build and maintain customer relationships.
Ideal Attributes
* Appropriate tertiary or strong trade qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
* Proven experience in business development or technical sales within industrial automation or drives.
* Strong understanding of variable speed drives, motor control systems, and industrial applications.
* Experience dealing with MV VSD, LV VSD, Electric Motors in industries such as mining, petrochemical, oil & gas.
* Track record of business development and sales performance.
* Demonstrated sales and business development experience, including building and maintaining effective client relationships.
* Experience preparing and delivering sales bids, tender responses and marketing plans.
* Strong written and spoken communication coupled with relevant computer skills.
* Results driven and professional approach to business and the ability to work independently.
