Salary: $65K+ DOE


GENERAL SUMMARY:

This is a work from home position with possible on-site work in the Portland Metro area.

We are looking for a competent Service Desk Technician to provide fast and effective technical assistance on computer systems. You will answer queries on basic technical issues and offer advice to resolve them.

An excellent Help Desk technician must have good technical knowledge and be able to communicate effectively to understand the problem and explain its solution. They must also be customer-oriented and patient to deal with difficult customers.

The goal is to create value for clients that will help preserve the company's reputation and business.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Ability to work effectively from home
* Experience working at and with MSPs
* IT support related to technical issues involving Microsoft's core business applications and operating systems
* Basic technical support at the network level: WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security
* Implementing and supporting remote access solutions: VPN, Terminal Services, Citrix, Office 365, Azure AD
* Maintaining and reviewing system documentation in ConnectWise
* Communicating with customers: keeping them informed of incident progress and notifying them of changes or outages

* Experience with Cloud technologies: Office 365, Azure AD, AWS, Azure, Windows Virtual Desktops, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint Online
* Experience with legacy technologies: Windows, Windows Server, Veeam, SonicWALL, Fortinet (Fortigate), Office applications
* Advanced understanding of operating systems, business applications, printing systems, and network systems
* Interpersonal skills: telephony, communication, active listening, and customer care
* Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to changes
* Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
