**The Role**
As a Governance Officer, you will play a key role in the successful ongoing management and performance of the Explosive Ordnance Services Contract. The Explosive Ordnance Service Contract is a performance based service delivery contract responsible for the storage, distribution and maintenance of explosive ordnance is support of activities undertaken by the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
Duties include but may not be limited to:
- Review reports and data, including financial information to determine accuracy and compliance with performance measures, instruction, policies and contracted terms and conditions.
- Provide input and prepare written reports presenting the results of governance activities.
- Ensure the contractor acts and complies with all National, State and Defence legislation, policies and procedures.
- Engage with and sustain relationships with team members, stakeholders and actively participate in meetings.
- Undertake review and analysis of a broad range of information related to inventory management and compliance.
**About our Team**
The Directorate of Logistics - Explosive Ordnance comprises of four functional areas in support of the ADF EO enterprise; covering storage and distribution, contract management, EO Licensing, Facilities planning and Delivery; and Logistics Capability planning. In this role, as a Governance Officer you will be part of a small team supporting and reporting to the Governance Manager.
- Experience in contract assurance and auditing.
- Proven ability to interpret and provide guidance and advice across a range of regulations, procedures, policies and contract terms to support ADF goals and outcomes.
- Ability to investigate information from broad range of sources and determine its accuracy and compliance with policies, procedures and instructions.
- You will be required to engage with various stakeholders to achieve agreed outcomes.
- Experience and understanding of the logistics directly related to storage and distribution of hazardous cargo and or dangerous goods would be beneficial.
