**The Company**:
Our client is an award-winning and highly established volume home-building company and due to continued growth are looking to hire an experienced volume home-building construction supervisor to join their busy construction team in Canberra.
**Key Responsibilities of the Role**:
- Manage a number of new home builds in construction concurrently.
- Up to on average 8-12 houses in construction at any one time on average
- Combination of single and some double-storey homes
- Allocate materials and trades to job sites.
- Ensure timely construction of new homes within budget
- Effectively communicate with trades and management in a professional manner.
- Construction of new homes are carried out safely and comply with company processes and procedures.
- Inspecting completed projects to ensure a high standard of quality
- Maintaining and updating company systems
- Reporting to management regarding onsite activity
- Negotiating with subcontractors and coordinating onsite works
- Identifying and resolving problems throughout the construction process.
- Minimal client interaction
**Role Requirements**:
- At least 1-2 years experience as a Construction Site Supervisor within the volume home building industry.
- Tertiary qualifications in building and construction
- Trade background will be highly advantageous
- Demonstrated experience within the construction sector with excellent building knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced working environment and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to build a strong rapport with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Proven track record of problem-solving
- Team player
- Excellent IT skills and computer literacy with construction-specific software packages.
- Commitment to WHS principles and practices
