Job Title: Welding Inspector
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Welding Inspector to join our team in ensuring compliance with welding standards, maintaining quality control, and supporting continuous improvement across operational sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote safe work practices aligned with company values and safety culture through field interactions.
* Audit the welding quality management system in accordance with AS/NZS ISO 3834, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
* Create, review, and approve welding documentation, including ITPs, WPS, welder qualifications, weld maps, drawings, and MDRs.
* Conduct site visits and inspections of welded joints, supervise welding operations to ensure compliance with standards.
* Manage technical queries, coordinate welder qualification activities, oversee NDT operations, and generate NDT requests.
* Troubleshoot welding issues, provide solutions, and stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Current welding certifications (e.g., CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2, IWI-S, AS 2214, AS 1796 Certificate 11 or 10).
* Practical experience in welding inspections within an ISO 3834 accredited system.
* Knowledge of Australian and international welding codes, WHS act 2020, and regulations 2022.
* Understanding of non-destructive testing processes.
* Current WA Driver's Licence and ability to work remotely.
