YETI provides drug and alcohol treatment, adolescent-focused family support, and practical assistance to young people who may be struggling to maintain positive connections with family, school, employment, and the wider community.

YETI is seeking expressions of interest for a full-time Family Support Team Leader.
The Team Leader will work as part of a passionate multidisciplinary team and will provide leadership, supervision, and high-quality therapeutic case management to families experiencing complex challenges, trauma histories, and at times, high risk-taking behaviours.
This role supports a team of Case Managers and helps ensure the delivery of safe, effective and culturally responsive services to young people and their families.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership, supervision, mentoring and operational guidance to a team of Family Support Case Managers.
Support Case Managers in responding to complex family needs, including AOD concerns, trauma, family conflict, child protection involvement, housing instability and mental health issues.
Oversee the development, implementation and review of family-centred case plans, ensuring interventions are strengths-based, trauma-informed and culturally safe.
Collaborate with families to build parenting capacity, enhance family functioning and support safe, stable relationships.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including schools, health providers, child protection services and community organisations.
Support families to access additional services, advocating on their behalf when required.
Assist Case Managers to manage crises through de-escalation, co-regulation and therapeutic engagement techniques.
Oversee data entry, reporting and compliance requirements, including the use of SRS/Infoxchange.
Model ethical practice, reflective supervision and adherence to organisational policies, child safety standards and legislative requirements.
Selection Criteria
Demonstrated senior skills and experience in assessment, case management, crisis intervention and outreach support for vulnerable young people and their families.
Experience providing staff supervision, coaching and development within a human services context.
Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, harm minimisation and strengths-based approaches, with the ability to guide staff in applying these frameworks.
Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills, including experience managing complex family dynamics and supporting staff through challenging cases.
Highly developed de-escalation and co-regulation skills, with experience supporting individuals in distress or exhibiting high-risk behaviours.
Competence using Microsoft Office, internet platforms and client information systems, particularly SRS/Infoxchange.
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, and the diverse circumstances impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families.
Requirements
Tertiary and/or vocational qualification/s in a relevant discipline, and a minimum of 2 years' experience in Family Support, including experience in a senior or supervisory role.
Eligibility for a Working with Children Check (Blue Card) or exemption based on professional qualifications and registration.
A current unrestricted QLD driver's licence.
