Following significant contract awards in our Australia/New Zealand Water business line, AECOM's Water Infrastructure team is searching for a proven Process Engineer to join our global team of water process engineering specialists.
We're seeking someone with a passion for technical excellence and who is looking to further develop their experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects in a global organisation.
The Water Infrastructure group provides services to a range of internal and external clients with a key focus on supporting sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve.

How you'll make a difference
* Lead the delivery of complex water and wastewater treatment projects across ANZ
* Develop and implement innovative process engineering solutions, with a focus on advanced technologies and sustainable outcomes
* Provide technical leadership, solving complex challenges and guiding best‐practice design approaches
* Build strong client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering tailored, high-value solutions
* Support business growth by contributing to proposals, winning work, and expanding our project portfolio
* Mentor and develop junior engineers, building team capability and fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
Qualifications
The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don't tick all the boxes, you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered.
* Engineering degree (essential); CPEng and/or RPEQ/RPEV highly regarded
* Strong experience in wastewater treatment at a senior/technical leadership level
* Deep knowledge of treatment processes, plant design, and ANZ regulations
* Experience across the full asset lifecycle
* Well‐connected in the Australian water industry
* Strong analytical, problem‐solving, and process engineering skills
* Excellent communicator with a client‐focused, people‐first approach
* Able to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
