Mechanical Service Technician – Continuous Mining / Development Equipment
Komatsu (Joy Global Australia) are on the hunt for a mechanical service technician to support our customer in the Lithgow region. You'll be the on‑site expert for all things Joy continuous miners and development equipment. Don't worry, first we ensure you're ready by providing an extensive onboarding program and classroom‑based product training at our training centre of excellence.

You'll bring
* Mechanical Trade Qualification
* Qualifications & experience in hydraulics
* Experience working underground with development & continuous mining equipment
* Strong problem‑solving and diagnostic skills
* Ability to work in an autonomous role
Key job responsibilities
* Provide customers with pro‑active advice and support
* Facilitate flawless start‑up of development machines
* Support engineering and be directly involved with machine commissioning
* Provide advanced technical support for development equipment in the field
* Coordinate new product field trials and document results, including any opportunities for product enhancement
* Collate field data and evidence for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for major failures and unresolved reliability issues
* Engage with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to offer solutions for customer needs
