Position Details
Applications are invited for the position of Physical Education/Year 6 Classroom Teacher commencing 27 May 2024 and concluding on 31 December 2024.
This is a temporary full-time position but may be split into two part-time positions. A full time position will enable the teacher to access the Regional Assistance Package.
Selection Criteria
Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons who can demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in the following areas:
• A strong identity with the Catholic faith.
• A demonstrated ability to build relationships across the school community and a high level of interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to collaborate with other Staff and work in a Team Environment.
• Provide evidence of data-informed teaching practice through the application of assessment and continuous monitoring strategies of achievement practices.
• Provide a teaching/learning program that provides instruction in Physical Education and Fundamental Movement Skills.
• Coordinate the School's Athletics Carnivals and Sport Programme.
• Have high expectations about children's ability to learn.
• A willingness to participate in reflective practice as part of a professional learning community.
Qualifications Required
• Appropriate Teaching Qualifications.
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education is desirable.
