Full time permanent position | $62,100 + super + bonus | Start 1st of May
- Newcastle location | 14 weeks paid training | WFH 2 days a week after probation
- Mostly business hours | Penalty rates for occasional weekend/early/late shifts

SMAART Recruitment is currently looking for 4 Customer Service Consultants to join one of Australia's leading truck insurance companies in their modern Newcastle office on the 1st of May.

This is not your stock standard call centre role. In this position, as the first point of contact for a customer, you will see yourself be part of the full problem-solving cycle for any customer issues, and you are required to really think on your feet.

You will receive a variety of inbound calls, and where sometimes a customer might call in with a general enquiry, more often they will need your assistance when they have run into trouble with their vehicle. To find a suitable solution you may have to think outside the box, or contact other service providers like incident response or a towing company to solve the problem.

**About the position**:

- Full time permanent position
- $62,100 + super + penalty rates for late shifts or weekend work + performance bonus
- The shift hours are mostly Monday - Friday 9:00am-5:00pm, but the business operates 24/7, so from time to time you may have an early start or late finish, and you will work a weekend every 8 weeks
- Newcastle location, state of the art office
- After a 6-month probation the role will become hybrid and you can work from home 2 days a week, Tuesday and Friday
- Extensive 14 weeks of paid training
- 4 positions starting 1st of May

**What we are looking for**:

- Someone who is empathetic and enjoys helping people
- Previous experience in customer service, call centre, retail or hospitality would be great
- Ability to think on your feet and problem solve, think outside the box
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with computer systems or affinity with technology
- Resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
