About Our Role
- Seasonal Pea Harvester Operator positions
- Work across the midlands and northern Tas (transport provided & travel paid)
- Approx. 10 week season
We are seeking safety-focused Pea Harvester Operators for our upcoming harvest season. Working across the Midlands and Northern Tasmania, the Pea Harvester Operator will work approx. 12 hour days (exclusive of travel) with a daily paddock start time 0300hrs.
What You Will Do
Working as part of an experienced harvest crew and safely operating a self-propelled pea harvester - duties will include but are not limited to:
- Primarily operate / drive a modern fleet of pea harvesters
- Refueling of harvesters & associated auxiliary equipment
- Review of daily harvest plan and work to this plan
- Use of radio communications between fellow Harvester Operators and maintenance / team leadership
- Contribute to group safety activities and continuous improvement (CI) programs
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
- 100% commitment to safety, health and wellbeing in the workplace
- Harvester, tractor or mobile plant experience will be advantageous
- Ability to work 12 hours (0300hrs paddock starts - excl. of travel time) across northern Tasmania with capacity to stay overnight where required
- Mechanical aptitude
- Availability to commence in early November and commit to the full season - approx. 10 weeks
- Ability to undertake pre-employment medical screening incl. urine based drug & alcohol testing
