Technology application specialist (melbourne)

We currently have a permanent opportunity for a Technology Application Specialist to join our Optical and hearing team.

• Comprehensive management, performance oversight and strategic guidance of designated business applications within their respective Service Line(s).
• Ensure applications are reliable, secure, and aligned with organisational goals while meeting the needs of end users, stakeholders, and Bupa customers.
• Act as the primary liaison between the business unit(s), IT teams, and external vendors to oversee the application's lifecycle from design and implementation to maintenance and continuous improvement.
• Drive efficiency, innovation, and compliance to enable seamless business operations and support technology initiatives.

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related discipline (Software Engineering experience preferred).
• 5+ years experience supporting and managing off-the-shelf enterprise applications.
• Strong experience in change, release and lifecycle management.
• Experience working directly with software vendors and managed service providers.
• Hands‐on experience with Microsoft Azure technologies, cloud platforms, APIs and relational databases.
• Strong understanding of application support, monitoring and operational best practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with Bupa's core clinical platform Optomate Touch is highly desirable, or equivalent experience supporting medical record / practice management systems within a healthcare environment.
