**About the Role**:

We're looking for a part-time (0.6 FTE) Library Technician to join the Research Services team, with a focus on the acquisition and management of electronic resources. In this role, you'll be involved with ordering, activating, and providing access to electronic resources—helping to ensure our clients can reliably access the online resources they need.
Your responsibilities will include working with library systems and vendor platforms, updating records in the library management system, and helping to troubleshoot access issues. This role requires a high level of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to follow established procedures and work both independently and as part of a team.

**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Verify, order, and invoice monograph information resources as part of the acquisitions process. 
- Process incoming physical materials efficiently and accurately. 
- Activate and manage access to electronic resources. 
- Perform copy cataloguing in accordance with established standards. 
- Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and resolve issues promptly. 
- Provide high-level service to clients and stakeholders, including the resolution of access issues. 
- Contribute to the development, documentation, and review of procedures to support continuous improvement.
**We are looking for**:
- A relevant diploma that qualifies you for Library Technician membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) at a minimum, along with relevant work experience. 
- A strong commitment to accuracy and exceptional attention to detail. 
- Proven ability to work effectively both within a team and across teams, collaborating with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to achieve shared objectives. 
- Experience in library acquisitions or similar work (highly regarded but not essential)**.**
**Role Requirements**:
- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role

- Demonstrated knowledge of scholarly information resources and the processes required to obtain, organise and provide access to them. 
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, client-focussed services. 
- Demonstrated ability to communicate orally and in writing with a wide variety of people and with cross-cultural sensitivity. 
- Demonstrated ability to co-ordinate work group activities and work effectively within a team situation. 
- Demonstrated ability to plan work outcomes and prioritise tasks in order to meet deadlines. 
- Demonstrated ability to work independently. 
- Relevant work experience in an academic Library environment.
