Postdoctoral Researcher
The University of New South Wales (UNSW) invites highly skilled applicants for a Postdoctoral Researcher position in laboratory-based research.
This role will support projects focused on neglected tropical diseases and other infectious diseases, conducting laboratory-based research to develop detection techniques and diagnostic tools.
A key component of the role is participating in epidemiological studies and sample collection for laboratory analysis. Additionally, successful candidates will be expected to perform serological analysis, DNA extraction, and PCR-based diagnostics as required.
We are seeking individuals with a PhD in biomedical sciences, epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, or a similar relevant field, and molecular and cell biology experience with a focus on infectious diseases. Excellent data management skills, quantitative analysis with statistical software, and the ability to stay up-to-date with discipline knowledge are essential.
Applicants should have a proven track record of publishing peer-reviewed journal articles and reports for non-expert stakeholders. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also required.
