We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager to lead our team in Western Australia. As a State General Manager, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence through people management and making a positive impact at our workplace.
Job Description
* Building a client base aligned with our existing strategy while ensuring high auction clearance rates
* Managing the sales team to identify new opportunities for vehicle, T&M, equipment, and other item consignment
* Overseeing auction management and developing relationships with auction buyers
* Controlling state-level costs to meet financial requirements by reviewing costs, income, and profit & loss statements
* Contributing to branch profitability and influencing a positive experience for buyers and sellers
* Establishing business objectives, allocating resources, reviewing progress, and making corrections as needed
* Recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, coaching, counselling, and disciplining staff while communicating company values, strategies, and objectives
Key Qualifications
* Previous site operations management experience
* Proactive problem-solving skills with a positive attitude and focus on driving actions, decisions, and outcomes
* Innovative mindset supporting new ideas
* Focus on P&L and control management
* Customer and sales team management
* Approachable and outgoing personality with people management, coaching, and mentoring experience
* Strong computer skills (MS Office and CRM system)
* Previous OH&S experience
* Auction and/or valuation experience with a sound knowledge of trucks, machinery, and motor vehicles is desirable
* Vehicle, truck, and machinery remarketing experience is desirable
