Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) Division of Surgical Specialties & Anaesthetics provides services to Lyell McEwin Hospital (tertiary site with links to the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia & Flinders university) and Modbury Hospital (teaching site).

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity exists to join NALHN within their highly skilled Community Mental Health team. This position will offer you professional growth opportunities within a supportive and inclusive culture. In this key position you will demonstrate your experience and previous success working as a Registered Mental Health Nurse to ensure high quality care is delivered to our consumers.
As a Registered Nurse you will provide nursing services in a community health service setting. In this role you will develop from a novice practitioner to a proficient level of professional practice and consolidate knowledge and skills, developing in capability through continuous professional development and experience. As a Registered Nurse you will accept accountability for your own standards of nursing care and for activities delegated to others. Key responsibilities of this role include:
Assessing individual client needs, planning, implementing and/or coordinating appropriate service delivery from a range of accepted options including other disciplines or agencies.Providing direct person centred nursing care and individual case management to clients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time.Planning and coordinating services with other disciplines or agencies in providing individual health care needs.
As a Clinical Nurse you will provide nursing services in a variety of health service settings which has been consolidated by experience and/or further study, developing from a competent to proficient practitioner. In this role you will accept accountability for your own practice standards, activities delegated to others and the guidance and development of less experienced staff. The Clinical Nurse role at this level continues to be predominantly clinical in nature; however employees are assigned appropriate portfolios. As a Clinical Nurse you will be required to:
Provide proficient, person centred, clinical nursing and/or individual case management to patients/clients in a defined clinical area;Monitor client care plans to ensure appropriate care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis;Oversee the provision of nursing care within a team/unit;Assess clients, select and implement different therapeutic interventions, and/or support programs and evaluate progress, within pre-determined guidelines, and in a multi-disciplinary primary health care setting.
To be eligible for this position, you must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. You must be enrolled in an approved Mental Health course or holds a qualification in mental health practice.
