About the Role
As the new
Legal Counsel
, you'll work directly with the General Counsel and supervise one junior lawyer (3-year PAE). Your work will focus on:
* Commercial & retail leasing
* Commercial contracts, licenses and agreements
* Supporting planning and heritage appeal matters
* Legal support for retail and commercial developments
* Briefing and coordinating with external legal providers
* Conveyancing work is outsourced—no volume pressure here
A steady, varied role ideal for someone who enjoys commercial property work without the urgency culture.
Who We're Looking For
You might be a property/commercial lawyer in private practice wanting to step in-house, or already in-house and seeking a healthier culture. Ideally, you bring:
Experience in property, commercial, or development work
Solid drafting and stakeholder management skills
A collaborative, down-to-earth approach
A desire for a stable, team-focused environment
