We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist to join our team in Sydney or Charlestown, New South Wales.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work with other specialists and managers to manage claims and advocate for alternate strategies to progress claims towards timely finalisation.
* Work collaboratively with other Technical Specialists and managers to manage claims and ensure prompt and compliant claims finalisation
* Provide technical input, advice and support to claims staff across NI and TMF to ensure accurate interpretation of relevant legislation and accurate calculation and re-calculation of PIAWE
* Making decisions and providing advice in line with NSW workers compensation legislation and Allianz policies and delegations
* Coordinate any PIAWE and/or Indexation remediation tasks/projects in accordance with set processes and within required timeframes
What You Will Need
* At least 5 years' experience managing technical and/or PIAWE related matters within NSW Workers Compensation
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy, and compassion with the best commercial outcome
* Ability to work collaboratively with peers and various stakeholders
* Experience as an SME, including coaching and mentoring others
* Strong planning and prioritisation skills, organisational ability, and effective management of competing resources and demands
