We recognize the importance of listening to their voices and have a zero tolerance for any form of abuse and neglect.At Mercy Health, it's all about taking what we have and making it better.To do that, we need you.Join us as at Mercy Health, and help our teams deliver even greater outcomes.About the opportunity:Provide emotional, spiritual, and psychological support to residents, helping them cope with the challenges of aging, loss, and health changes.Act as a compassionate listener for residents, offering counselling and comfort during times of distress, loneliness, or grief.Organize and lead religious services, prayers, or rituals tailored to residents' spiritual needs, respecting their diverse beliefs.Support residents and their families during end-of-life care, offering comfort, counselling, and spiritual care at this difficult time.Work alongside other health care staff (nurses, doctors, social workers) to provide holistic care to residents.Facilitate access to sacraments such as Holy Communion, Reconciliation, and Anointing of the Sick, ensuring residents can practice their faith regularly.What you'll bring:You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered care.To thrive in this role, you will have:At least one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education or other relevant qualification. Theological and/or other relevant graduate qualifications.
