Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, have been engaged by our long standing client, a well-established professional services organisation undergoing significant growth and data modernisation.
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to play a key role in transforming and modernising their enterprise data capability.
Location + WFH Flexibility: Parramatta – Fully Onsite
Project: Modernising enterprise data processing capability and building scalable ELT data warehouse solutions
Client Industry: Professional Services (Financial Services focused)
Responsibilities
* Lead the design and build of enterprise-grade ELT pipelines using DBT, Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks
* Develop and optimise scalable data warehouse solutions, focusing on transformation and data quality
* Implement and maintain CI/CD workflows within transaction-heavy enterprise environments
* Deliver end-to-end backend reporting solutions from source systems through to data warehouse
* Support ongoing data warehouse build, ensuring strong governance, documentation and operational stability
Required Skills and Experience
* 5+ years' experience in Data Engineering within enterprise environments
* Strong hands‐on expertise in DBT, Azure Databricks and CI/CD workflows (non‐negotiable)
* Experience working with large‐scale, transaction‐heavy systems
* Advanced SQL and Python capability
* Experience within the finance sector or mid‐sized organisations highly regarded
What Success Looks Like (First 3-6 Months)
* Continued build and optimisation of the data warehouse ELT framework
* Focused transformation layer development with strong data quality controls
* Delivery of all current backend reporting requirements end‐to‐end
* Power BI reporting capability (nice to have)
