Timber Frame Detailer

Stoddart Group is seeking a Timber Frame Detailer to join our Queensland Timber Frame division. Based at our Richlands plant, this role is responsible for producing accurate and efficient timber frame designs and documentation to support our manufacturing and construction operations. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who enjoys problem-solving, collaborating with stakeholders, and contributing to a fast-paced and growing business.
Duties of the role include (but are certainly not limited to):
* Produce detailed timber frame designs and manufacturing documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
* Interpret architectural, engineering, and construction documentation to develop practical framing solutions.
* Understand individual customer requirements and specifications and assist in delivering the most suitable framing solution.
* Liaise and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sales teams, production staff, and site personnel.
* Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure material requirements and project timelines are met.
* Ensure the accuracy and completeness of customer documentation and compliance requirements.
* Provide technical support and guidance to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Ideal candidate attributes:
* Experience in timber frame detailing within the residential construction or timber manufacturing industry is preferred.
* Proficient in MiTek Sapphire software (preferred).
* Experience with MiTek AutoBEAM and Hyne Design software is highly regarded.
* Solid understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.
* Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to confidently read and interpret architectural, structural, and engineering plans.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience with floor systems, including posi floor systems, will be highly regarded.
