THE OPPORTUNITY
This role offers a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Auditor to work closely with Partners and senior management on high-quality audit engagements for diverse clients across Australia. You will lead client communication, manage financial statement preparation and oversee billing, while also mentoring junior staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Collaborate with Partners and senior management to deliver high-quality audit services for diverse clients
* Manage audit engagements from planning to completion, ensuring accurate and timely deliverables
* Prepare and finalise financial statements, maintaining attention to detail and compliance
* Oversee client billing and monitor work-in-progress assessments
* Mentor and supervise junior audit staff on larger engagements, providing guidance and support
* Communicate directly with clients to facilitate fieldwork planning and completion
* Travel to client sites across Australia as required
* Participate in internal and external training sessions to stay current with industry standards
EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
* 2+ years' Senior External Auditor w/ Australian audit experience in an accounting firm
* Completed a degree in Accounting
* Ready to start or currently enrolled in the CA program
* Strong communication and client relationship skills
* Able to work independently or in a team
* Knowledge of Australian accounting and auditing standards
