About the Role
Key responsibilities:
* To assist Classroom and Specialist Teachers to ensure students’ needs are addressed through the teaching and learning programme
* To support the Individual Learning Plans/Targets of students requiring individualised support
* To work with small groups of students to support development in all curriculum areas
* To maintain positive and supportive interactions with all teachers, parents and relevant consultants
* To maintain detailed and accurate records of support
About you
* Qualifications (eg Certificate Ill in Education Support, or start of Bachelor’s degree in Education) or experience as a School Learning Facilitator / Integration Aide
* A passion and ability to cater to the individual learning needs of students, particularly those with specific learning and behavioural difficulties
* Experience supporting middle years learners (Years 5-8), understanding their developmental, social and emotional needs.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including an ability to develop rapport with students and staff
* Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational setting
* A willingness to learn and use evidence-based strategies to support literacy and numeracy skills
* Candidates must possess a current Victorian Working With Children Check (Employee) and a National Police Records Check.
