Property and Facilities Full-time Permanent position Base salary in the range $117,958 – $132,247 17% superannuation (HEW Level 8) Based at our St Lucia Campus About This Opportunity The Property and Facilities Division is establishing a new capability within the Program Management Office (PMO) and is seeking an experienced Construction Planner / Scheduler to support infrastructure-funded capital projects across the University. Locally known as a Project Manager - Construction Programmer, this newly created role and reflects the first time UQ has introduced a dedicated scheduling and programming function at the program level. Rather than focusing on individual project delivery, this role operates at a program level, giving you visibility across a portfolio of capital works projects. You will own the master program, providing critical path insight, identifying delivery risks, and supporting strategic decision-making across the portfolio. Working within the PMO and reporting to the Associate Director, this role develops and maintains an integrated master schedule, consolidating inputs from multiple projects to provide clear visibility of timelines, dependencies, and delivery risk across the capital works program. This enables clearer insight into project pipelines, resource demand, and delivery risks across the capital works program. This is a client-side role offering a strong work-life balance, a stable pipeline of projects, and the opportunity to influence delivery outcomes at a portfolio level. Key responsibilities will include: Develop and maintain an integrated master program across capital works projects Undertake critical path analysis to identify risks and optimisation opportunities Consolidate project schedules into a centralised, program-level view Analyse impacts including resource loading, sequencing, and competing priorities Provide insights to support planning, prioritisation and delivery decisions Partner with Project Managers to strengthen schedule quality and consistency Contribute to the development of program-level planning capability within the PMO About UQ As part of the UQ community, you will have the opportunity to work alongside the brightest minds, who have joined us from all over the world. You bring a strong understanding of planning principles and are confident building, interrogating and optimising project schedules rather than simply tracking timelines. You will have: Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in Project Management, Construction, Design, Engineering, or a related discipline Demonstrated experience in construction planning / scheduling within capital works or infrastructure Strong capability in critical path analysis and schedule optimisation Experience using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project Ability to consolidate multiple project schedules into a program-level view Strong stakeholder engagement skills across project and delivery teams Appointment to this role is subject to the successful completion of relevant pre-employment checks, which may include verification of the right to work in Australia, qualifications, criminal history checks, and other role-specific requirements.
