Job Description:
Are you a skilled and organized professional looking for a challenging role in production planning? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Scheduler to join our operations team and contribute to driving efficiency, reliability, and continuous improvement in our production processes.
As a Scheduler, you will play a key role in ensuring timely execution of production schedules, coordinating with production, procurement, and warehouse teams, and making adjustments as needed to respond to changes in demand or production capacity.
Responsibilities:
1. Production Scheduling & Planning:
* Build and maintain detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
* Coordinate with production, procurement, and warehouse teams to ensure timely execution.
* Adjust schedules as needed to respond to changes in demand or production capacity.
2. Demand Planning & Inventory Control:
* Analyze historical sales, forecasts, and trends to develop demand plans.
* Support materials planning and stock availability across multiple production lines.
* Introduce or improve inventory categorization (ABC, Kanban, barcode systems).
3. BOM & ERP Management:
* Keep BOMs accurate and aligned with engineering updates.
* Use ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Dynamics) to manage scheduling, materials, and inventory.
* Support the introduction of new products from a scheduling and materials standpoint.
* Conduct cost-benefit and capacity analysis to determine internal vs. external sourcing.
* Partner with production and procurement teams to support decision-making.
