About the Opportunity
We're seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Supply Chain based in Crestmead. In this role, you'll be responsible for supporting the attraction, selection, and retention of top talent into our distribution centre, ensuring best practices are followed in line with national talent acquisition standards. You'll play a key role in connecting leaders and stakeholders to create an engaged workforce that achieves productivity and safety standards.

In this Role

* You'll serve as the first point of contact for interview and selection processes to determine candidate suitability across various roles at Metcash.
* Coordinate key stakeholders for direct employment via Korn Ferry, Nimble, and labour hire agencies.
* Plan and organise pre-employment medical assessments, liaising with internal stakeholders, including health and injury management teams.
* Maintain close relationships with casual labour hire agencies to ensure consistency in team member supply aligned with cultural fit and store worker suitability.
* Support labour hire agencies and warehouse leaders to drive labour efficiencies, productivity analysis, correction, retention, and quality standards.
* Serve as a key stakeholder for contract management of labour hire agencies, including onboarding and connecting agencies with the DC leadership team and Talent Acquisition Strategy Manager, Supply Chain.
* Collaborate with Metcash's RPO Talent Acquisition team to deliver activities related to sourcing, supply, and onboarding of award-based and labour hire agency team members into the distribution centre.
* Support literacy and numeracy assessment activities and determine capability of incoming candidates presented by labour hire agencies.
* Engage with leaders to build and drive a positive candidate experience through the attraction, selection, and onboarding process.
* Ensure accurate documentation for successful candidates and newly onboarded team members is completed and forwarded to relevant teams.
* Collate and report on recruitment and onboarding activities within the distribution centre, reviewing current local industry trends.

You'd Be a Great Fit If...

* You have experience with different recruitment approaches, including direct hire, traditional platforms, labour hire, local communities, and social-media platforms.
* You're aware of the local labour market and understand attraction and retention strategies, such as employee value proposition (EVP) standards.
* You have prior experience in warehouse DC operations, including store worker roles, manual handling equipment operators, and inventory management.
* You've demonstrated experience managing award-based and labour hire teams within distribution centres or similar environments.
* You've influenced and negotiated with leadership teams and stakeholders in FMCG environments or similar industries, preferably within warehousing and supply chain.
* You have understanding of labour hire account management, focusing on the supply and sourcing of labour hire candidates for warehousing and supply chain organisations.
* You're adept at initiating new campaigns to source candidates, particularly during periods of high demand.
