UGL's Broadmeadow is currently seeking Mechanical Fitters with Pneumatic or Hydraulic experience to join our Engine & Air breaks overhaul team.

- 9 Day fortnight | Mon-Thur 5.30-2.30, Fri - 5.30-1.30, every second Friday off
- Rail component overhaul and general maintenance
- UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business based at our operation in Broadmeadow, Newcastle NSW are looking Mechanical Fitters with Pneumatic or Hydraulic experience to join the component overhaul team.
- These roles will be offered on a permanent full time basis and will be paid under UGLs Newcastle Operations Enterprise Agreement working on a 9 day fortnight with every second Friday off, hours are Monday - Thursday 5.30am - 2.30pm and the Friday you do work is 5.30am - 1.30pm.
**About the role**
- Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager this role will see you working on a rail component overhaul line conducting engine and airbrake overhaul tasks as well servicing and general workshop duties as required.
**About You**
- Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency - Mechanical
- Previous experience on engine overhaul activities
- Experience with precision measurement equipment
- Excellent fault finding experience
- No afraid to get your hands dirty
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable & punctual.
- Commitment to a safe work environment and practices.
- Ability to interpret schematics and production drawings.
- Work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Focused on quality work & customer service excellence.
- Forklift license is desirable but not a necessity.
- Work cover overhead crane licence desirable but not a necessity.
