Property Projects Officer
Temporary full-time
We currently have the opportunity for a suitably experienced Property Projects Officer to join us.
In the role of Property Projects Officer, you will lead the preparation, implementation, and management of tasks associated with the divestment and acquisition of property to support Council’s property portfolio.
This role is vital to achieving the Council’s objectives for future property transactions and enhancing the quality and continuity of the Council’s service delivery.
What we offer...
- Temporary full-time position, 35 hours per week until September 2027
- Annual salary from $90,676 to $99,970 (salary is dependent on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Progressive annual salary up to $110,217

What you'll need to be successful in the role
Your analytical and logical thinking skills will be strong, and you will have the ability to assess and interpret complex information. You will also have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying information clearly and persuasively.
In addition to this, it’s essential that you have:
- Tertiary qualifications in property management, development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Extensive experience and strong commercial acumen within the development and property industry
- A proven track record in negotiating complex property transactions, demonstrating strategic and effective negotiation techniques.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation, particularly the Local Government Act, and the ability to interpret and apply Council policies effectively
- A demonstrated ability to handle complaints professionally and effectively, ensuring satisfactory resolutions
- Current Class C Driver’s Licence.
