We have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Officer to join our team.
In this role, you will lead end-to-end procurement and tendering processes, develop contract documentation, and provide expert advice on procurement, probity, and compliance. You'll play a key role in strengthening contract management practices and ensuring systems and processes are effectively used across the organisation.
On a day-to-day basis, you will coordinate tenders, support evaluation processes, maintain contract and supplier records, and provide training and guidance to stakeholders on procurement systems and procedures. You will also contribute to improving procurement practices, reporting, and ensuring compliance with legislation and Council policy.
This is a full‐time permanent role based at Knox City Council – Civic Centre. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.
This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $98,353.35 to $107,416.64 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
Selection Criteria
* Experience in procurement and contract administration, including tendering and evaluation processes
* Ability to interpret and provide advice on procurement legislation, policy, and probity requirements
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and partner with the business to deliver outcomes
* A customer-focused approach, with the ability to understand business needs and provide practical, solutions-oriented advice
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Experience with contract management systems (desirable)
* Strong organisation, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
