About the Role
The Industry Relationship Manager is a key driver of visibility, external engagement, and industry partnership revenue growth for UTS Rapido. This professional B2B role is responsible for working with Rapido engineering teams to identify, engage, convert and maintain external commercial partners into collaborative, revenue generating R&D opportunities for UTS Rapido.Working at the top and middle of the sales funnel, you will drive industry-based lead generation, qualification (against BANT criteria or similar), and seamless handover to Principal Delivery Managers for project scoping and execution. This position is central to generating qualified business leads for the unit, particularly in support of new R&D projects for the Principal Delivery Managers and their teams, whose expertise includes mechatronics, software engineering, and UX research and digital solutions.
About You
The incumbent is expected to have proven business development experience in B2B engagement, lead generation and lead management, particularly in government and medium to large organisations. A background in B2B technology, engineering, or innovation consulting is highly desirable.
With examples, please outline how you meet the following four (4) selection criteria within your cover letter;
* Strong industry stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to proactively develop commercial relationships effectively and respectfully with senior professionals.
* Commercial understanding of the complexities of decision-making groups within the R&D and innovation ecosystem in Australia.
* Proven experience of working with industry partners to build relationships within a technological environment, and utilising your professional business development skills, including ownership of lead tracking and management systems, e.g., to meet organisational goals.
* Experience in early stage, collaborative industry project proposal development, including tracking, engagement and client-aligned scoping.
Remuneration
Base Salary Range: $120,827 - $137,609 p.a. (HEW 8)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
This position is full-time and an appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
