What you'll be doing
Lismore Base Hospital, NNSWLHD is seeking a FRACP accredited specialist in Gastroenterology & Hepatology to take on the role of permanent Staff Specialist. The role is permanent full time – 40 hours per week, however applications for part time positions will be considered.
The role provides contemporary comprehensive Specialist Gastroenterology and Hepatology services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable for optimal patient outcomes and to deliver a healthy community through quality care.
You will also provide clinical leadership, participate in quality improvement activities, and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.

Lismore Base Hospital is a regional referral, Level 5 base hospital providing a wide range of health services to residents in Northern NSW.

Requirements
* Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist, and/or specialist international medical graduate pathways.
* Current Colonoscopy and Gastroscopy certification or recertification with the Gastroenterological Society of Australia or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of commencement.
* Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the role delineation of the service.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
* Demonstrated effective clinical communication through information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, research and quality improvement.
* Availability to participate in an on‐call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
