About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator to join a busy manufacturing environment specialising in sheet metal production. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience operating flat bed laser cutters, tube lasers, and press brake folding machines, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced workshop.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate flat bed laser cutting machines and tube laser machines
* Set up and operate press brake folding equipment
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
* Perform accurate cutting, folding, and fabrication of sheet metal components
* Conduct basic quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with WHS requirements
* Work independently and as part of a production team to meet deadlines
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in sheet metal fabrication or production
* Experience with laser cutting (flat bed and/or tube laser) and press brake folding
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail and workmanship
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
* Good understanding of workplace health and safety practices
* Trade qualification in Sheet Metal / Engineering / Fabrication (preferred but not essential)
