ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Hospital Bookings Administrator to join our friendly and collaborative Theatre team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth coordination of theatre and bed bookings across the hospital, supporting high-quality patient care and efficient operational flow.

Reporting to the Theatre Nurse Unit Manager, you will be the key point of contact between Specialists’ rooms, nursing staff and visiting medical officers, ensuring all bookings and patient information are accurate, timely and well-coordinated.

This is a permanent part-time position, working 36 hours per fortnight (2 days per week).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Build strong working relationships with Specialists’ rooms and key stakeholders

* Coordinate theatre and inpatient bed bookings across the hospital

* Liaise with nursing staff and Visiting Medical Officers to facilitate seamless patient care

* Accurately enter and manage patient data within the ePAS system

* Provide administrative support to the Theatre department 

ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills, experience and attributes:

* Medical terminology qualification and a strong understanding of surgical procedures

* Previous experience in healthcare administration or a similar role

* Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build effective relationships

* Proven ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands

* High level of attention to detail and accuracy

* Excellent organisational and time management skills

* Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
