The role of the Executive Services Manager is to provide effective leadership to the Executive Services team and key operations within the Office of the Director-General through the provision of high-level management and key strategic and operational functions. The Executive Services Manager reports to the Senior Director and has line management responsibility for the Executive Services team.
The Executive Services Manager's Key Responsibilities Are To
* Provide high-level confidential strategic support to the Office of the Minister, the Director-General and Senior Director in a fast-paced and sensitive working environment, including coordinating and collating urgent requests for advice and information.
* Lead and sustain a positive workplace culture, with a commitment to business excellence and continuous improvement.
* Manage the workflow and day to day business functions of the Executive Services team, including workflow, supervision, resource allocation, and the prioritisation of tasks to meet deadlines and objectives.
* Oversee the preparation and delivery of high-quality and timely advice, briefing notes, reports, and correspondence for the Office of the Minister's and Director-General.
* Identify, analyse, and manage risks and emerging issues, providing sound advice and proactive solutions.
* Manage performance development of the Executive Services team members, including providing direction and guidance in relation to matters within the teams' functions.
* Drive initiatives to improve systems, processes, and practices within the Office of the Director-General, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness.
* Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of complex advice, reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations and correspondence.
* Manage key relationships and communication with internal and external stakeholders, including within the department and the Minister's Office, and across the Queensland Government.
* Consult and negotiate with executive management and other senior officers to resolve any matters as requested by the Director-General and Senior Director.
* Lead the development, monitoring, evaluation and improvement of systems and processes to support the interface between the department and Minister's Office, including the flow of ministerial and executive materials.
* Undertake additional activities as directed by the Director-General and Senior Director as required such as diversion to the Community Recovery team to assist in activation periods.
