An opportunity has arisen to join the APAC Global Custody Product Management team, based in Sydney - Australia. The team is responsible for managing the strategy, commercials and ongoing scope of the Global Custody Product offering for Securities Services clients across Australia and New Zealand, and the Global Markets our clients invest into. This role will be responsible for helping to lead the Custody product agenda across the region as well as providing support for the wider business strategy in areas such as; growing the P&L, improving our client experience and ensure that an appropriate risk and control environment is adhered to. The role will report into the Custody Product Manager for Australia and New Zealand.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Australia and New Zealand ( A & NZ ) ownership and issue management**:Working with the local, regional and global teams to be an advocate and owner for all product related queries within A & NZ. Act as an escalation point for product related questions within A & NZ and ensure suitable resolution and management of issues.
- **Product Management**:
- Help lead the execution of the Custody & Fund Services product strategy as it pertains to A & NZ, including P&L projections, new product assessments, client behaviours etc.
- Develop robust business cases, opportunity sizing and competitor analysis for each initiative and the presentation of these for buy-in.
- Help ensure tactical and strategic product development objectives are captured throughout the planning process. Monitor the related product deliveries to completion with partners across the business.
- Work with internal partners to create and syndicate product related strategy with respect to specific segments / markets, relevant product capabilities based on competitor analysis, feedback from client/consultants, and understand proposed standard pricing based on risk/reward trade-off and commercial framework for liability.
- **Client Solutions**
- Assist in the maintenance of Product related standard documentation and provide sales support / Request For Proposal (RFP) input to Sales teams where required
- Work in partnership with Product Development, Technology and Operations to design and develop operating models for new or existing clients
**Required qualifications, capabilities and skills**
- Client facing experience and be able to exhibit confidence and professionalism in dealing with internal and external parties
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a large, global, matrixed organization of functionalized teams and perform in a dynamic team environment, working across time zones and geographies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills (e.g. PowerPoint) in order to syndicate messages with internal partners ((Risk, Operations, Audit, Business Control, Compliance, Legal, Client Services, Relationship Management, Technology, Sales, Network Management, etc.), assess client requests and recommend solutions.
- Desire to understand the competition landscape; understanding the features and functions of competitor offerings and, where possible, pricing information
- Desire to understand the evolution of the markets and regulations in which we operate to incorporate change into the product strategy and roadmap(s)
**Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Fluent in English
- Good overall knowledge of Custody & Fund Services Product set (preferably within a Global Custody background)
- High energy, self-starter, highly motivated, proactively responds to and adapts well to change
