Job Title: Mental Health Specialist
About the Role:
The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing and diagnosing mental illness and dementias in frail elderly patients across various settings, including clinics, patients' homes, residential aged care facilities, and a subacute inpatient facility.
Key Responsibilities:
* Treatment and management of mental illness and associated social complications related to dementia;
* Working with a community team comprising the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and case managers;
* Attending outpatient clinics;
* Working in accordance with the Mental Health Act and Guardianship and Administration Act;
* Participation in an on-call roster for the subacute inpatient service.
