Central Coast Local Health District has a unique opportunity for an Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2) to make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of the Central Coast Community by improving access to vaccination services. This position blends clinical, project, education and quality improvement work and is a great opportunity to showcase your skills and innovation.
About The Opportunity
The Working to Advance Vaccine Equity (WAVE) program is a new CCLHD initiative that aims to improve vaccination coverage rates for the Central Coast Community, particularly for adults and adolescents. The project expands on an innovative, award-winning program "Ward Off Winter", which offers influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations to patients attending CCLHD facilities. The WAVE Team Lead role provides an opportunity to lead a dynamic and exciting project as part of a dedicated, multidisciplinary Public Health team focused on improving access to immunisation services and lifting vaccination rates. Working across inpatient, outpatient and outreach settings, you will deliver education and vaccinations that protect the community and reduce the impact of vaccine-preventable diseases. This is a part-time position, working Monday to Friday (hours to be advised)

About You
* You have current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse or Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Hold a current NSW Driver's Licence
* You hold a valid Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Check
* You have Postgraduate qualifications as per the Nurses Award requirement for the role of a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Grade 2)
* You have current accreditation as an Authorised Nurse Immuniser and have demonstrated experience and knowledge in vaccine administration, vaccine preventable diseases, cold chain management and adverse events following immunisation.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders, community members, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to provide high-quality, culturally-responsive care to Aboriginal community members and culturally diverse community members.
* Commitment to working within professional and ethical boundaries in a team-based healthcare environment.

The WAVE Team Lead role is based out of the modern Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute at Gosford Hospital, this 4 day per week role (option for jobshare) is perfect for anyone seeking work/life balance.
