The role reports to the Principal Advisor and liaises with executive, senior management, landowners and the public. The role provides strategic vision and identifies opportunities and disposals within the property portfolio that aligns with departmental policy and goals, as well as objectives of the Planning and Development Fund. The Property Advisor provides high level advice on a range of complex projects and programs regarding property assets and is responsible for ensuring agreements, licences and stakeholder services are prepared in accordance with legislation, across a wide range of governments and the community.
You will hold the following responsibilities:
* Proactively resolve issues by identifying risks early and managing dependencies to prevent escalation.
* Oversee financial analysis and management, including interpreting financial statements and coordinating invoice and insurance payments.
* Lead property, leasing, and financial services, including negotiating and executing lease and tenure agreements.
* Strengthen relationships across government, industry, and stakeholders through timely, accurate advice and engagement.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of business systems and design frameworks that enable the effective delivery of public spaces.
* This position is offered as an initial 1-year term contract.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
* Holds a Property Management Registration.
* Experienced in managing and delivering a range of property, leasing, disposal, financial and stakeholder management services.
* Ability to interpret, review and implement relevant agreements, policies, legislation and regulations.
* High level written and oral communication skills.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
Desirable Qualification:
Relevant tertiary qualification in Property or a related discipline.
Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
