Are you a seasoned finance professional with a strategic mindset and a passion for purpose-driven work? Communicare is seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to lead our finance function in a full-time, permanent role based at our Cannington office.
This is a critical leadership position responsible for the effective financial management, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning that underpins the sustainability and performance of our organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the finance team to ensure accuracy, integrity, and efficiency across all financial operations
* Provide high-level financial insights and reporting to support executive decision-making
* Drive strategic financial planning and contribute to long-term organisational sustainability
* Oversee compliance with statutory obligations and internal audit practices
* Champion continuous improvement in financial systems, processes, and governance
What You'll Bring
You hold a bachelors degree in business, accounting or related field along with being CA/CPA qualified with experience in senior finance roles, including time as a Financial Controller or equivalent. You have a strong grasp of Australian Accounting Standards and corporate governance legislation, and bring expertise in:
* Auditing, budgeting, compliance, and statutory reporting
* Financial systems such as Oracle Fusion, Dynamics 365, Epicor, or TechOne
* Developing corporate policies and management systems
* Navigating the not-for-profit or government sector
* Communicating complex financial insights with clarity and impact
* Leading with integrity, structure, and a continuous improvement mindset
