The role of an economic and financial consulting team member involves helping clients understand today's economic, financial, and regulatory opportunities and challenges. Our team provides evidence-based critical insight and analysis on a range of economic issues impacting the community.
We advise the public and private sectors, regulators, law firms, and international agencies. As part of a multidisciplinary business advisory firm, our economic & financial consulting team can draw on FTI Consulting's collective industry and technical expertise to address the many interconnected issues clients face across the business cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Undertake economic analysis applying a range of economic methods across a broad range of industries and topics
* Gather and analyze economic data
* Contribute to the delivery of projects and learn the fundamentals of delivering consulting projects
* Organize client and stakeholder consultation
* Attend client and stakeholder meetings
* Prepare drafts of sections of reports, presentations, and other client deliverables
* Undertake research to support business development opportunities
* Assist with the development of written proposals
* Meet other professionals and clients and expand your professional network

Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A degree in economics, finance, public policy, or a related discipline
* Strong foundations in analytical and quantitative methods used to solve economic/financial problems
* Good communication skills (both verbal and written)
* Flexibility with respect to assigned tasks and engagements due to deadlines, changing deliverables, and evolving task priorities
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a multi-task environment with strong attention to detail in deadline-driven situations
