This is a senior hands on cloud engineering role focused on Azure, Kubernetes, automation and secure platform operations. The team is looking for engineers who can operate across both engineering delivery and operational reliability in a structured, security conscious environment. The Role You will work across secure cloud platforms and production environments, supporting infrastructure reliability, platform governance, automation and continuous improvement initiatives. This role sits within a modern engineering environment with strong focus on cloud native technologies, Infrastructure as Code, observability and secure operations. Key Responsibilities Support and maintain Azure hosted infrastructure and cloud platforms Work across Kubernetes environments including AKS and containerised workloads Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Bicep Improve platform reliability, monitoring and observability across production systems Contribute to CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines Support incident response, root cause analysis and operational uplift initiatives Work closely with engineering and security teams to improve governance and compliance Support secure cloud environments aligned to Australian security standards What They’re Looking For Strong experience across Azure cloud infrastructure and platform engineering Hands on Kubernetes experience, ideally AKS Experience with Terraform, Bicep or similar IaC tooling Strong understanding of cloud networking, governance and security principles Experience supporting enterprise or mission critical production environments Exposure to observability and monitoring tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana or Azure Monitor Strong troubleshooting and operational support capability within cloud environments Comfortable working in structured, regulated or security conscious environments Desirable Experience within defence, government, mining or other regulated industries Exposure to AWS environments CI/CD pipeline experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions Security, compliance or landing zone experience Security Requirements Australian Citizenship is essential. You must be eligible to obtain or currently hold Baseline or NV1 Security Clearance.
