Chef Supervisor Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef Supervisor to lead our catering department. As the head of food service, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure the preparation of high-quality meals that meet both nutritional and compliance standards.
About the Role
* Experience in residential aged care is essential
* Strong leadership and people management skills are required
* You must have proficient computer literacy
* A trade cook certificate or equivalent qualification is necessary
* Completion of a food handling course is also required
* A current food safety supervisor certificate is mandatory
* A background in the hospitality industry is highly desirable
* A current national police certificate (or willingness to obtain) is needed
* You must meet aged care worker screening legislative requirements
Responsibilities
1. Lead the implementation and ongoing evaluation of the Food Safety Program
2. Ensure all operations meet formal accreditation and regulatory requirements
3. Manage staff and oversee daily operations in the Catering Department
4. Prepare high-quality meals that meet both nutritional and compliance standards
