The Opportunity
We're looking for a skilled Mobile Plant Operators to join our team at our Deer Park Landfill site. This hands‐on role is ideal for someone experienced with heavy machinery and keen to contribute to essential waste operations that support the local environment. Some of the responsibilities are as below.
* Operate machinery such as dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxys
* Perform tip face operations including waste placement and compaction
* Responsible for following plans and EPA guidelines
* Carry out daily cover operations, including the mixing and application of cover materials
* Conduct basic site maintenance and assist with light manual handling tasks when required
About You
* A valid plant operator ticket or equivalent competency of at least two-three of the above (VOC, RII, etc.)
* Proven experience operating dozers, compactors, excavators, and moxy trucks
* Good understanding of safety and environmental compliance in a landfill or earthworks setting
* Ability to work well in a team and follow operational plans
* Previous experience in landfill operations or waste industry will be advantageous
* HR Licence will be beneficial
