Job Description
The opportunity
We are currently looking for an experienced Process shift Supervisor to join the team at our Duketon operation. As a key leader within our site processing team, you will guide and empower our processing crews to deliver exceptional production outcomes every day. You'll champion safe work practices, drive smart and cost-effective decisions, and foster a culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. This is a FIFO role (8:6 roster) from Perth.
Key Responsibilities
* Promote, inspire, and instil a positive safety culture by being a visible safety leader in the operation
* Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across all operational areas
* Achieve both personal and departmental safety KPIs set by the department
* Identify and report the operational status of the plant by actively participating in shift handover meetings
* Stay cost conscious and contribute to achieving the department's cost targets
* Lead and influence Process Technicians to deliver the department's safety and production goals
* Apply coaching and mentoring skills to build a high-performance team
* Communicate effectively and efficiently with senior leadership
* Support all team members in completing and keeping mandatory training up to date
* Oversee the safe and efficient operation of the ore crushing and treatment plant
* Manage the safe disposal of tailings
* Monitor and report on reagent receivables and storage
* Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across the plant and processes
* Provide technical support as needed to help resolve operational issues
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
* Demonstrated experience as a Process Supervisor with proven Leadership skills
* Gold Processing experience with Gyratory, Jaw and Cone Crushers, Ball Mills and CIL Operations
* Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and develop processing crews to achieve production and safety targets
* Strong focus on safety culture with the ability to enforce standards and conduct thorough incident and hazard investigations
* Experience monitoring plant performance and adjusting operational parameters to optimise throughput and recoveries
* Competent in reporting, shift handover documentation and effective communication across departments
* Sound knowledge of metallurgical processes, troubleshooting and identifying performance improvement opportunities
* Ability to coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure planned and unplanned downtime is managed effectively
* Proven capability to work in fast-paced, remote mining environments with solid decision-making skills
* Familiarity with control room operations and ability to support operators in maintaining stable plant conditions
