About the Role
As a Quantum Navigation Specialist, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge navigation solutions using software-layer quantum control technology. Our team is dedicated to improving navigation performance in GPS-denied or contested environments by leveraging the unique capabilities of Q-CTRL's quantum sensors.
We are seeking an expert with a strong background in navigation theory and numerical modeling to assist in the development and validation of novel navigation algorithms and software. Your work will focus on translating quantum sensor performance into actionable insights for current and prospective navigation end-users and customers.

Responsibilities:
* Develop new navigation algorithms and sensor fusion strategies to improve navigation performance in GPS-denied or contested environments.
* Translate quantum sensor performance into actionable insights for current and prospective navigation end-users and customers.
* Work closely with other Research and Engineering teams to deploy and validate developed algorithms and sensing solutions on real quantum sensing hardware.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver novel navigation capabilities that solve pressing challenges in maritime and aeronautical positioning and navigation.
Requirements:
* A B.Sc.(Hon) or M.Sc. in Physics, Electronic Engineering, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline.
* Experience in navigation theory, numerical navigation modeling, and/or real-time state tracking and estimation.
* Familiarity with Python programming language for scientific computing.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience in modern signal processing methods, such as Bayesian methods and particle filtering.
* Familiarity with quantum and/or atomic physics at an undergraduate level.
* Knowledge of software version control systems, such as Git.
