About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) professional to join our organization. As the HSEQ Officer, you will play a vital role in driving compliance, fostering a proactive safety culture, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
* Implement and Monitor WHS Systems: Champion the development and maintenance of effective WHS systems, risk assessments, and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
* Maintain Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
* Enhance Systems: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement processes that meet ISO standards and support the Integrated Management System (IMS).
* Develop Capability: Coordinate training, licensing, and competency development programs for employees.
* Drive Quality & Environmental Outcomes: Conduct regular audits, inspections, and monitoring to uphold project and legislative standards.
* Lead Incident Management: Facilitate reporting, investigations, and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Required Skills and Qualifications
We are seeking an individual with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will possess:
* Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum), Diploma desirable.
* 2–3 years' experience in HSEQ or compliance within construction, civil works, or similar industries.
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and ISO standards for safety, quality, and environment.
* Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment and adapt to changing priorities.
