We deliver end‑to‑end solutions across Electrical, Solar, Electronic Security, Air Conditioning, Data & AV. We use Simpro for job management and Xero for finance, underpinned by simple SOPs that keep technicians, customers, and the office in sync. With long‑term client relationships across residential and commercial sectors we're growing and this role is central to keeping jobs moving and customers informed.
Flexibility that suits family life
The role is designed for three six‑hour days and school‑hour availability. Initial in‑person onboarding/training, then WFH, with occasional in‑person meetings as needed. Start/finish times are flexible within the middle of the day.
Pay & benefits
$30–$35 per hour (+ super), based on experience.
The role (three core areas)
1) Scheduling
* Keep the schedule full and technicians allocated efficiently
* Schedule site visits for quotes immediately when requests come in
* Confirm job notes, access details, and materials ahead of each day
* Confirm apppointments with customers
* Ensure job statuses are updated throughout the day in Simpro
* Support technicians with accurate info, notes, and job packs
2) Administration
* Maintain the inbox, reply to enquiries, and keep customers updated
* Answer phones professionally and confidently schedule or quote where needed
* Create new jobs and quotes in Simpro
* Retrieve and receipt payments in Simpro
* Maintain structured admin processes and simple SOPs
* Keep digital files organised and workflows consistent
3) Bookkeeping
You'll own the day‑to‑day and month‑end bookkeeping flow, including:
* Daily transaction reconciling
* End‑of‑month statement checks ensuring all bills are entered
* Entering recurring bills (used for forecasting)
* Generating monthly financial reports:
* Cashflow forecast
* Balance sheet
* P&L
* Budget forecast
* Matching Simpro purchase orders with Xero bills
* Follow up overdue accounts with polite reminders
About you
* Strong Xero capability (or a confident fast learner) and comfortable with financial tasks
* Excellent communication skills across phone, email, and SMS, with dependable follow-through
* Highly organised, accurate, and calm when juggling bookings and admin tasks
* Simpro experience highly regarded (job creation, PO workflow, status updates)
* Microsoft Office 365 skills (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and SharePoint proficiency for files and SOPs
* As a requirement of secure projects, Australian citizenship is required
* Experience working in a trade business highly regarded
* Able to work independently from home after initial in-person onboarding, and based in Canberra
