About the Role
Step into the future of payroll as a Payroll Specialist, using our newly implemented Workday Payroll system. This is a great opportunity to contribute to efficient and accurate payroll operations in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist who will form part of the Corporate Shared Services team within the Servco Australia head office located in the heart of South Bank in Brisbane.
The Payroll Specialist will process fortnightly pay runs for 21 different business entities, each who operate on a separate fortnightly pay cycle – no easy feat
This role will work collaboratively with our dealerships, finance team and the Australian HR team to ensure we are providing a best-in-class centralised payroll solution.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Accurately process payroll for all employees in accordance with established schedules and procedures
* Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity within the Workday Payroll system
* Review and verify timesheets, leave requests, and other payroll inputs
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, awards, and company policies
* Respond promptly to payroll-related queries from employees, managers, and stakeholders
* Assist with payroll reconciliations and reporting as required
* Support the preparation and submission of statutory returns (e.g., PAYG, superannuation, tax)
* Maintain confidentiality of payroll information at all times
* Participate in ongoing training and contribute to process improvements
* Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll issues and support business needs
About You
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate experience with payroll processing. Experience using Workday will be held in high regard however, we will also provide full training.
Experience working in the automotive industry will also be held in high regard.
Your ability to solve complex problems while remaining calm under strict deadlines will help you succeed in this role.
