Job Summary:

About the Role:
* You will play a crucial role in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic testing services within the Blood Bank at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
* Your work will directly support patient safety and clinical decision-making through a range of laboratory functions, including pre-transfusion testing, antenatal serology, antibody investigations, and the dispatch of blood and blood products.
* You will ensure all testing and quality control results meet established standards, contributing to the delivery of a reliable and efficient transfusion service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine testing and develop advanced competencies as required to support the evolving needs of the Blood Bank.
* Work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team and participate in the laboratory's 24/7 roster and on-call service.
* Develop and maintain strong organisational skills, initiative in problem solving, and the ability to manage confidential information and multiple priorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* A recognised qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant technical discipline, supported by sound knowledge of laboratory principles, scientific practices, and safety standards.
* Demonstrated competency and recent experience in routine Blood Bank operations, with a commitment to delivering accurate results within defined timelines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively, follow instructions effectively, and provide exceptional customer service in a team-based environment.
