Job Title: Senior Piping and Mechanical Specialist
* Lead a team of piping and mechanical engineers to supervise and direct operations within the department.
* Ensure commissioning and startup work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with project safety standards and quality requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
* Comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations, aiming for zero accidents and incidents.
* Resolve piping and mechanical system issues, including diagnosing trouble, developing solutions, and preparing change documentation.
* Provide technical guidance, interpreting new or special regulations, codes, and standards.
* Review engineering and vendor documents for commissioning and startup requirements, notify project personnel of problem areas, and provide help developing recommended solutions.
* Coordinate assigned commissioning and startup activities between project engineering, construction, specialty staff groups, clients, and vendors.
* Develop documentation for system testing and turnover, including scoping drawings and Teamworks, participating in development of the project startup manual, and preparing system pre-commissioning and commissioning testing procedures.
Requirements:
* A recognized degree in a mechanical engineering or scientific discipline from an accredited college, or extensive progressive work experience in the specialty.
* In-depth experience related to commissioning and startup of industrial, process, or utility facilities, or other relevant experience such as construction, engineering, field engineering, or operations in industrial, process, and utility facilities.
Desirable Skills:
* Ability to use Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiently.
* Working knowledge of Teamworks, Set route, and Completion module.
* Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards pertinent to gas plants.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
Additional Information:
This position involves working in a dynamic environment with changing conditions, which may include: extensive walking in and around an active construction site, climbing ladders, working at heights, and using personal fall arrest equipment. The candidate must be able to use standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task.
The Pluto Train 2 Project is a Major Hazard Facility meaning this is a non-smoking site and no tobacco products are permitted to be brought to the site.
